What's new

HiQLCD 1.4.0 contains 31,744 datasets (CUT_OFF) and adds the EN_15804 system model. It expands waste-treatment and lubricant data and revises existing inventories including coal. Subsequent LCIA result revisions are documented in 1.4.1.

• Chemicals: Adds 330 datasets, with representative reference products 切削油; 汽轮机油; 油膜轴承油; 润滑油; 液压油.

• Waste Treatment: Adds 155 datasets, with representative reference products 沼气; 填埋渗滤液; 焚烧渗滤液; 城市固体废弃物; 厨余垃圾废水.

• Coal and Products: Revises core inventory fields in 74 retained datasets, with representative reference products 原煤.

• Electric Power: Revises core inventory fields in 80 retained datasets, with representative reference products 电力，中高压; 燃煤发电厂; 基础建设，光伏发电，地面式; 基础建设，光伏发电，平屋顶式; 基础建设，风力发电，海上，<3 MW.

• Adds flow-property-based water balance checks for dataset inputs and outputs, and adjusts water-footprint-related indicator results.

Catalog and inventory comparisons use 1.3.0 to 1.4.0. CUT_OFF changes from 32,609 to 31,744 datasets, a decrease of 865 (2.65%). The added EN_15804 model contains 31,718 datasets.

Impact assessment

The published method catalog contains 1,942 category-indicator entries. The catalog with characterization factors contains 44 methods and 770 category indicators, with 228,044 characterization-factor records.

Against 1.3.0, characterization-factor records increase by 8 net, with record differences concentrated in the regrouping of EN15804 categories and indicators. See System models for the added model’s application scope.

Result changes

The IPCC 2021 / climate change / GWP100 comparison covers 31,259 shared CUT_OFF datasets from 1.3.0 to 1.4.1.The revised 1.4.1 results are used for the newer endpoint. Relative difference is abs(new−old) / max(abs(new), abs(old)); selection thresholds use the maximum absolute indicator value over all shared datasets in both versions.

Use the ID correspondence to locate datasets during migration, and reassess the model with the selected version.
